What about our existing HVAC contractor relationships?
Irvin doesn't replace your contractors. It makes them more effective. When Irvin flags a failing system, your existing vendor still does the work. The difference is they show up with the right part, on a scheduled call, instead of an emergency dispatch with three guesses. Most contractors love this because their billable utilization goes up.
Can Irvin be installed without specialized HVAC work?
Installation requires a licensed HVAC tech because the sensors clip onto the refrigerant lines on the indoor and outdoor units. We've designed it to install in about 20 minutes during a routine maintenance visit. We handle vendor training and certification at no cost to your contractor.
What about Yardi / AppFolio / RealPage integration?
On the roadmap. Phase one is the standalone portfolio dashboard with CSV export and webhook delivery to anything that accepts HTTP. Phase two is direct PMS integration starting with Yardi. If you're a Yardi shop and willing to be a design partner, mention that in the pain point field above.
What about properties with mixed HVAC equipment types?
Common. Most multifamily portfolios have a mix of equipment. Irvin currently fits split-system central AC, which covers the bulk of US garden-style and low-rise stock. For mixed portfolios, we'll deploy Irvin on the compatible systems and add the rest as roadmap items become available. You see all systems in the dashboard, monitored or not, so visibility is consistent.
Why isn't pricing on this page?
Portfolio pricing depends on portfolio size, equipment mix, and rollout pace. We don't want to publish a number that's misleading for either of us. The portfolio assessment is the fastest path to an honest quote.
How does this differ from a Nest or Ecobee thermostat?
Nest and Ecobee measure ambient temperature in a hallway and infer everything else. Irvin measures refrigerant pressure at four points, line and air temperatures at six points, capacitor microfarads, static airflow, and condensate level, directly on each system. Thermostats tell you the house is hot. Irvin tells you why and what part is failing.
